NAIVEDYAM 5.0: Sharing Meals, Spreading Smiles! π²☺️
Sometimes, a shared meal can bring people together in the simplest way.
On 16 October 2026, Naivedyam 5.0 brought the spirit of World Food Day to life through food, kindness and community. Organised by the Rotaract Club of R.V.C.E., the drive brought together Rotaract clubs with a shared purpose: to support people in the community and spread the joy of giving.
Meals Made with Care π²
Freshly prepared pulao and kesari bath were shared with the residents of Nayandahalli.
At Savitribai Phule Slum in Nayandahalli, members distributed freshly prepared meals to residents. The club contributed a total of 150 kg of food, helping provide meals to nearly 500 people.
Every part of the distribution—from preparing the food to serving it—reflected the effort and generosity behind the drive. The visit also offered an opportunity to meet residents and share a moment with the community.
Care That Reached Further π
The spirit of giving also reached children at Sree Manukula Trust.
Food and refreshments were donated to children with disabilities at Sree Manukula Charitable and Educational Trust. This additional visit extended the day’s support to another community and brought nourishment and a gesture of care to the children.
24 Clubs, One Shared Purpose π€
Different contributions came together to make Naivedyam 5.0 possible.
The drive united 24 Rotaract clubs. Eighteen clubs provided financial support, while six assisted with food distribution. Each club had a part to play, and together their contributions helped the initiative reach more people.
The collaboration showed how a shared purpose can bring people together in service. From financial contributions to hands-on support, every effort helped turn the plan into a meaningful day for the communities served.
The Smiles That Made It Worthwhile ✨Meeting the children and families became a memory to carry home.
Meeting the people served was an experience the volunteers will never forget. The smiles on the children’s faces and the families’ faces made all the time and effort worthwhile. Those moments brought home the impact of the day and showed how much a simple gesture of care can mean.
Naivedyam 5.0 was more than a food distribution drive. It was a day shaped by teamwork, compassion and the generosity. Through meals shared across the community, the initiative celebrated the joy of giving and the difference people can make when they come together.
The drive left behind more than memories of the food distributed. It offered a reminder that kindness can begin with a simple act and that sharing it can make the day brighter for everyone involved.
